Emerging Role of Clinical Proteomics in Laboratory Medicine

Wednesday, August 7, 7 – 8:30 a.m.
Hilton Anaheim, California A Room
Supported by Thermo Fisher Scientific

Overview

Tremendous efforts have been made over the past few decades to discover novel biomarkers for use in clinical practice. Experts continue to work with new technologies to improve the slowed pace of bringing biomarkers to the clinic. The emergence of clinical proteomics and innovations in liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) have helped to advance the diagnostic and treatment options that are available. We will touch upon the emerging role of clinical proteomics and LC-MS in laboratory medicine.

Outcomes

Attendees will learn about:

  • Strategies to advance cancer biomarkers.
  • The status of proteomics in the clinic.
  • Advances in LC-MS for diagnostic and treatment options.
